User

You can update your map data automatically using the Smart Update Manager (SUM).

How to update map using SUM
  1. STEP 01. Login

    Enter your ID and password on the map update website.

    (To use the SUM, you have to register on the website.)

    1. Select the account type.
    2. Click if you have forgotten your ID/PWD
  2. STEP 02. Select removable storage device

    Select a removable storage device for update.
    The map is updated on the removable storage device
    through the SUM.

    1. Select a removable storage device from the list.
  3. STEP 03. Prepare for update

    Select a vehicle for update.
    The selected storage device will be formatted.

    1. Select a vehicle for update.
  4. STEP 04. Update

    The latest map data is downloaded and installed.
    The update progress bar is indicated on the screen.

    1. The progress is displayed.
  5. STEP 05. Complete

    The update is completed.
    Connect the removable storage device to the
    navigation system.

    1. Click the button to close the SUM.
  6. Settings ※

    You can change the settings on the SUM.

    1. Change the language.
    2. Change the download folder for the map update files.
Dealer

You can update your map data automatically using the Smart Update Manager (SUM).

How to update map using SUM
  1. STEP 01. Login

    Enter your ID and password on the map update website.

    (To use the SUM, you have to register on the website.)

    1. Select the account type.
    2. Click if you have forgotten your ID/PWD.
    3. Enter your VIN.
    4. Select this option to download the map update in advance.
    • The pre-download feature allows you to download the latest map update data and save time for update.
    • The pre-downloaded data is stored on the local PC, not the removable storage device.
  2. STEP 02. Select removable storage device

    Select a removable storage device for update.
    The map is updated on the removable storage device
    through the SUM.

    1. Select a removable storage device from the list.

    This step is skipped and you will be directed to STEP 03 when pre-downloading.

  3. STEP 03. Prepare for update

    Select a vehicle for update.
    The selected storage device will be formatted.

    1. Select a vehicle for update.

    The storage device is not formatted when pre-downloading.

  4. STEP 04. Update

    The latest map data is downloaded and installed.
    The update progress bar is indicated on the screen.

    1. The progress is displayed.
  5. STEP 05. Complete

    The update is completed.
    Connect the removable storage device to the
    navigation system.

    1. Click the button to close the SUM.

    >Restart the SUM to update the map for another customer.

  6. Settings ※

    You can change the settings on the SUM.

    1. Change the language.
    2. Change the download folder for the map update files.

Manual Download

User

To update the map manually, download the map software for your model and year from the map download section.

How to download/update map files
  1. STEP 01. Go to map download section

    Go to the "Map Download" section in the Customer Support on the website.

  2. STEP 02. Select model/year

    Select the model and year of your vehicle for update.
    Check and select the map version for update in the list,
    and go to the detail page.

    If there is more than one with the same version, model and year,
    check the image in the detail page before downloading it.

  3. STEP 03. Download map files

    Download the map files in the post.

    • Connect the SD card to the PC. If you are downloading it
      directly to the SD card, you can skip STEP 04.
    • All the map files must be downloaded to work.
      If the download is interrupted due to a network error or other reason,
      you have to download it again.
  4. STEP 04. Copy map files to SD card

    Copy the downloaded map files to the SD card for update.

    When copying the map files to the SD card, make sure to copy the
    validation file provided by the website. You can download the validation file in the Manage Update section of My Page.

    You can only download the customer validation file purchased with
    the dealer account.

  5. STEP 05. Connect SD card to
    navigation system

    Once the SD card with the downloaded map and validation
    files, the map will be updated automatically.

Dealer

To update the map manually, download the map software for your model and year from the map download section.

How to download/update map files
  1. STEP 01. Go to map download section

    Go to the "Map Download" section in the Customer Support on the website.

  2. STEP 02. Select model/year

    Select the model and year of your vehicle for update.
    Check and select the map version for update in the list,
    and go to the detail page.

    If there is more than one with the same version, model and year,
    check the image in the detail page before downloading it.

  3. STEP 03. Download map files

    Download the map files in the post.

    • Connect the SD card to the PC. If you are downloading it
      directly to the SD card, you can skip STEP 04.
    • All the map files must be downloaded to work.
      If the download is interrupted due to a network error or other reason,
      you have to download it again.
  4. STEP 04. Copy map files to SD card

    Copy the downloaded map files to the SD card for update.

    When copying the map files to the SD card, make sure to copy the
    validation file provided by the website. You can download the validation file in the Manage Update section of My Page.

    You can only download the customer validation file purchased with
    the dealer account.

  5. STEP 05. Connect SD card to
    navigation system

    Once the SD card with the downloaded map and validation
    files, the map will be updated automatically.
